Each team member will receive an accreditation card, which must be worn at all times and should be clearly visible. The accreditation is not transferable and does not allow the holder to take another person beyond checkpoints. 

Photos are not required for the accreditation card system.

Any lost or damaged accreditation cards should be reported to the Main Accreditation Centre or TIC. Duplicate cards can be obtained where proof of identity can be established at a charge of 50€.

Unauthorised use of an Accreditation card will result in the card being confiscated.

Accreditation Centre

The teams’ Accreditation Centre will be located at Teams Hotels. This is where Team Leaders shall report as soon as possible after their arrival, in order to carry out the administrative procedures.

The opening dates and times of the Teams’ Accreditation Centre will be as follows:

In case of arrival outside of the opening times, Team Leaders are kindly requested to report to the Teams’ Accreditation on the next morning.

Accreditation Procedure

Accreditation cards will be prepared in advance, based on the information provided by the Member Federation through the European Athletics entries system. No changes will be accepted after the final entries deadline.

The Team Leader will be asked to complete the following formalities before he can collect the accreditation cards for the whole team:

  • LOC accommodation invoice (Team invoice);
  • Check of athletes’ passport (to allow verification of Nationality and U20 participants’ age);
  • Confirmation Covid-19 Vaccination Certificates, PCR tests and Antigen tests (in case team have Covid-19 test scheduled – confirmation date and members to do;
  • Team vest check;
  • Collection of competition related forms and information;
  • Delivery Team-Kit (Accreditation cards, Bibs, Meal tickets, Team Activity schedule)
  • Delivery individual Kit
  • Confirmation of departure details.

Team Leaders are requested to take the athletes’ passports to the Accreditation Centre.

Team Leaders will settle the payment of accommodation for team members outside the European Athletics quota and confirm the athletes participating in the European Champion Clubs Cup Cross Country. After the payment and confirmation, the Team Leader can collect the accreditation cards for the whole team.

Loss of an accreditation card

Any lost or damaged accreditation cards should be reported to the LOC, at the Accreditation Centre/TIC. Duplicate cards can be obtained where proof of identity can be established.

Access Areas for Teams and Special Passes

A description of the accreditation system shall be included on the back of the accreditation card (see also Appendix 4).

All team accreditation cards will allow access to the warm-up area, changing facilities and physiotherapy area. Only athletes who are about to compete will have access to the Call Room and to the race Course.

The Head of Delegation from each team is invited to the VIP Hospitality area and will be given the necessary access number on the accreditation card.

Doping Control Passes will be managed by the Doping Control Delegate according to the number of tests: one pass will be given to the athlete upon notification and an additional pass for an accompanying person. Passes will be collected once they enter the Doping Control Centre.
