Accreditation
General Information
Each person involved in the European Athletics Championships, Roma 2024 will receive an accreditation card which must be worn during the entire competition and should be clearly visible. Accreditations must be picked up in person with a valid passport or identity card as proof of ID. The accreditation card is personal and not transferable and does not allow the holder to take another person beyond the security checkpoint.
During the European Athletics Championships Roma 24 all accredited Media will have free of charge access to Rome’s large public transport network (https://romamobilita.it), in line with the event organisers’ and the City of Rome’s sustainability goals. The card will be provided at the accreditation desk.
Accreditation Collection
Media accreditations can be collected at the Media Accreditation Centre which is located in the Biglietteria Ex OstelloThon.

In order to collect your accreditation, you will have to present your passport or ID card (the same used for your accreditation request in the Event Management System).
Please note that accreditations can only be collected by their holder.
Lost Accreditation Card
Any lost or damaged accreditation card should be reported immediately to the Accreditation Centre: [email protected]
Access Areas
The accreditation for press representatives will give them access to the Media Centre, Press Tribunes and Press Mixed Zone. The accreditation for photographers will give them access to the Media Centre, Photo Work Area and Photo Positions, but not to the Mixed Zone.
Furthermore, all media accreditations give access to the Media Shuttle Buses that are running between the stadium and the official media hotel. Media representatives can also use public transport for free with their accreditation cards.

Security personnel will control all areas.
The accreditation card is not transferable and does not allow its holder to take third parties beyond checkpoints.

Payment & Cancellation Policy
Payment
- After your booking, an email will be sent with your accommodation invoice and details on how to proceed with your payment.
- You are kindly requested to proceed with payment no later than five (5) working days after receipt of this email in order to guarantee your hotel booking.
- The confirmation of your accommodation booking will be guaranteed only after receipt of the full payment of your accommodation cost.
- Failure to adhere to these payment terms will result in the cancellation of your reservation.
Travel & Transportation
During the European Athletics Championships Roma 24 all accredited Media will have free of charge access to Rome’s large public transport network (https://romamobilita.it), in line with the event organisers’ and the City of Rome’s sustainability goals. Accredited Media can pick up their ATAC tickets at the transport desk in the Accreditation centre, or at the info points of the official Media hotels.
The Local Organisation Committee provides official Media Shuttle services between all media hotels and the Olympic Stadium, half-marathon competition as well as for the Main Accreditation Centre for holders of T4 passes who registered for accommodation through the LOC.
Arrivals & Departures
Arrival by plane: Fiumicino and Ciampino Airports
For media arriving at Fiumicino Leonardo Da Vinci and Ciampino G.B. Pastine International Airports, the LOC provides a media shuttle service from the Airport to the designated media hotel (for who registered for accommodation through the LOC and entered their flights details).
Welcome Service
Information desks will be set up at Fiumicino Leonardo Da Vinci and Ciampino G.B. Pastine airports and at Tiburtina train station to provide adequate guidance and assistance. The desks will be branded with the logo of European Athletics Championships Roma 2024. Trained staff will be present at the desks to welcome arrivals and provide guidance on locating buses and vehicles.
Transfers from the airport / station to the Media Hotels
For guests who booked one of the Official Media Hotels through the LOC and have provided their travel information in the accreditation system, the LOC offers a shuttle bus service.
Note: Please note that if you are travelling with larger or multiple pieces luggage, it would be appreciated if you could inform us in advance so that necessary arrangements can be made.
Departures
For departures from the airports, we provide airport transfers pick-up time is generally scheduled 3 hours before take-off, however, all pick-up times will be displayed at the Media Hotels’ information desk one day prior to the departure date.
For departures from the Tiburtina station, transfers pick-up time is generally scheduled 1 hour before departure.
Note: Please note that, similar to arrivals, we rely on the information provided in the accreditations system for departures. It is essential that you upload accurate travel information in a timely manner.
Shuttle services Official Media Hotels
During European Athletics Championships Roma 2024 and before / after
Transport between the Media Hotels and the European Athletics Championships Roma 2024 venues will be provided by the LOC for holders of T4 passes who registered through the accreditation system. Detailed timetables will be posted in the Press Centres and at the Media Hotels’ Information Desks.
There will be Information Desks located in each Media Hotel where assistance will be provided also on transport matters.
Note: The scheduled Media Bus Shuttle Service can only be accessed with ‘’T4’’ accreditation card. Media representatives will have the privilege of “T4″ transport shown on the accreditation card. This accreditation code grants them the right to board on the Media Bus Shuttle between the hotels and the venues.
Pick-up points of the Media Shuttle Bus
The pick-up points for the Media Shuttle Bus will be located in front of the each official media hotel. The pick-up points and the Media Shuttle Buses will be branded with the logo of European Athletics Championships Roma 2024.

Parking
Please note that there is very limited parking available in the vicinity of the Olympic Stadium. A limited number of parking permits for vehicles, scooters/motorbikes and bicycles will be provided to accredited media with priority given to photographers and media with reduced mobility or special needs.

Getting to the Olympic Stadium by bus
Many bus lines in the north of the city terminate at Piazza Mancini, which is just across the river from the stadium. The 628 and the 82 lines stop in front of the Foro Italico.
Getting to the Olympic Stadium by tram
There is a tram terminus at Piazzale Flaminio (metro: Flaminio) from which tram Line 2 goes directly to Piazza Mancini, which is just across the river from the stadium.
Getting to the Olympic Stadium by Metro
The nearest metro stations are Lepanto and Flaminio, both on Line A, both about 3 kms south of the stadium.
Getting to the Olympic Stadium on foot or bicycle
The Stadium is approximately 3.2 km from Piazza del Popolo in the city center – Piazza del Popolo (metro: Flaminio), which allows you to reach the stadium on foot in about 30-40 minutes or 10 minutes by bicycle.
Visa
The following countries require visas to enter Italy:
Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kosovo and Türkiye.
Countries requiring visas to enter Italy should obtain them from the Italian Embassy or Consulate
in their country.
Visa applications should be made in due time (not later than 5 May 2024).
Catering
A choice of hot and cold food and beverages will be available for media in the media restaurant on competition days.
The main Media Restaurant / cafe’ is located in the Sala delle Armi, Viale delle Olimpiadi, 60 (approximately 300mt from the Olympic Stadium, near the central tennis court) and provides indoor seating for 360 people with an outdoor lounge area for coffee and afternoon cocktails.

In addition, a choice of refreshments (water, tea, coffee) and light snacks will be available for Media in both the Main Press Centre & Sub-Press Centre.
Food and beverages will also be available for purchase at various food and beverage stands in the Fan Village.
Just across from the Foro Italico, Cuccurucu’ Restaurant is renowned for its Roman cuisine and has ample indoor and outdoor dining overlooking the river Tiber.

Medical Services
The LOC medical service is in charge of any medical assistance to all accredited guests (Teams, LOC personnel, VIP guests, and media) as well as, during the competition, to the spectators in the stadium.
The LOC will provide a central medical number to contact 24/7 for all the medical issues. In case of emergency, please contact the nearest medical first aid station or call the 24/7 Medical Emergency number 112.
