Each team member will receive an accreditation card, which must be worn at all times and should be clearly visible. The accreditation is not transferable and does not allow the holder to take another person beyond checkpoints. 

Photos are not required for the accreditation card system.

Accreditation Centre

The Teams’ Accreditation Centre will be located at Lux Fátima Park Hotel. This is where Team Leaders shall report in order to carry out the administrative procedures.

The opening dates and times of the Teams’ Accreditation Centre will be as follows:

Accreditation Procedure

Accreditation cards will be prepared in advance, based on the information provided by the Member Federations through the European Athletics Entries System. No changes will be accepted after the Final Entries deadline.

Further to the ETC 2022 Medical Clearance & Sanitary Protocol procedures, Team Leaders will be asked to complete the following formalities before they can collect the accreditation cards for the whole team:

  • LOC accommodation invoice (team invoice)
  • Check of athlete´s official ID Card/Passport for U23 age group
  • Team Uniform check
  • Collection of competition related forms and information
  • Collection of special passes
  • Confirmation of departure details
  • Confirmation of e-mail addresses and phone numbers
  • Collection of welcome bags (if applicable)

Any lost or damaged accreditation cards should be reported to the LOC, at any teams´ hotel Transportation/Information Desk. Duplicate cards may be obtained where proof of identity can be established at a charge of 50 EUR.

Unauthorised use of an Accreditation card will result in the card being confiscated.

Access Areas for Teams & Special Passes

All team accreditation cards will allow access to the teams´ seating area, warm-up area and training areas, changing facilities and physiotherapy rooms. Only athletes who are about to compete will have access to the Call Room and to the infield. Furthermore, the accreditation can be used to access the LOC shuttle service.

Please note that due to the COVID constraints:

  • Team Press Liaisons will not be granted any media access, but with a special pass (Team Mixed Zone) for access to athletes at the end of the Mixed Zones
  • Heads of Delegation will only receive standard team accreditation; thus they will not be granted any VIP access.
  • Access to the TIC will be limited and controlled with a special TIC pass

The LOC shall provide special passes as required for the following categories:

  • Field events coaching areas (1 per competing athlete for teams with no accredited coaches)
  • Mixed Zones (1 per team)
  • TIC (1 per team)
  • Medical Centre (1 per team medical doctor or physiotherapist)

Those special passes will be distributed during the accreditation procedure, upon signature of the Team Leader.
