Media Centre

The media centre will be located inside the venue. The media centre will be open as follows:

The media centre offers all accredited journalists and photographers the following:

• Welcome Desk
• Workstations for accredited media and photographers with electricity plugs (Plug types C, & F)
• Internet connection (Limited wire connection &WIFI)
• TV screens with live signal
• Media refreshments

Media Tribune

There will be media tribune located near the finish line for all accredited media. Capacity of the media tribune is 120 seats. This designated area will be equipped with tables, limited wired internet connection and Wi-Fi connection.

Press Conference

An official press conference will be held at the Modern Art Gallery, inside Dokumapark, close to race venue on Saturday 7th December at 12:15.

Internet Connection

The media centre, the mixed zone and media tribune on the venue will be served by a free Wi-Fi internet service. A limited cable internet zone will be available in the media tribune, as well as the media centre.

Digital Media Centre

European Athletics and our Broadcast Partner EBU have designed a Digital Media Centre – a browser-based platform – to allow all journalists, member federations and athletes to watch the live action and simultaneously access all the information that is normally available to media in a physical Media Centre.

Services Available

The Virtual Media Centre will offer a wide variety of services, useful to both on-site and remote media, such as:
• Watch live streams (Integrated Feed and Isolated Production Feeds for field events),
• Watch live athletes’ flash interviews,
• Access Event Information and Publications,
• Access the Photo Gallery and media banks (limited to registered users),
• Chat with moderators.

Virtual Mixed Zone – Interview Request

Besides having access to all the services available in the Digital Media Centre (as described above), remote journalists will be offered preferential access to the “Virtual Mixed Zone”. This service will allow remote journalists to request and download (limited to rights distribution) interviews.

The possibility to conduct interviews and engage with your athletes will be available through the live Flash Quotes position in the Mixed Zone. Requests will have to be submitted in advance to: [email protected] or via the chat option directly in the VMC platform.

Official Media Shuttle Buses

Transport from the media hotel to venue and return will be provided. Please refer to the information board in the hotel for the shuttle bus schedule.

Lost and Damaged Accreditation Card

Lost or damaged accreditation cards should be reported to the Media Accreditation Centre.
